Christian was absolutely awesome to work with!! I decided on a last minute location change and he accommodated that easily! Christian was awesome! My husband and I honeymooned in Kauai Hawaii and wanted to get some honeymoon beach pictures while there. We found Christian’s contact online and after shooting him a text to see if he was available, he instantly responded and was able to fit us in his schedule on such short notice! Christian was very creative with his poses and helped make us feel comfortable and natural for our photo shoot. We spent an hour with Christian and he captured beautiful images during this time. We just received our online album and the pictures are incredible! Thank you Christian for being very flexible, responsive, and personable! We now have many pictures we will remember forever.

Christian is incredible! Our initial location was unavailable so he helped us find an alternative, and got great shots even though there were tons of other shoots going on. “Stunning, gorgeous photos” are all the comments I get on my wedding photos. My fiancé and I were planning to elope to Kauai. I really wanted photos since family wasn’t going to be there. I reached out to a few photographers over emails. It’s so hard to get the feel of someone through emails, but Christain was the only one to answer all my questions and concerns. He was so easy to work with. On the day of the wedding Christain arrived early and started preparing the beach area for our photos. He made us feel so relaxed and comfortable during the ceremony. We took quite a few photos after “I do.” All nerves were gone and we had a such a great time taking our photos. Christain kept everything up beat and made us laugh. I seriously couldn’t be happy with my decision choose Christain as our photographer. My photos are spectacular and I smile every time I look at them.

My wife and I along with our almost two year old son did a one hour photo shoot to have some professionally shot memories from our vacation to Kauai. Christian was great to work with – he was super flexible in meeting us when and where it worked for us and the photos turned out great despite less than ideal weather. He got some great shots even though working with a toddler isn’t always easy. Not only did we love the results but we appreciated the fact that he provided us all his shots that turned out to download (we have seen other photographers who only give you a set number or require you to purchase from their site). All in all, highly recommend!

We highly recommend Christian! He photographed our sunset wedding at the Kauai Grand Hyatt and produced amazingly beautiful shots! We were a bit camera shy, but Christian was patient and instructive without posing us too much–which allowed us to be more natural. He was professional and creative and we had fun! “I can’t say enough great things about Christian and Kahahawai Photography!!! I contacted Christian on short notice to take photographs during my proposal to my future wife. I had very little details at the time which made me nervous, but Christian’s calm and professional demeanor made the process virtually stress free. He continuously contacted me via email offering suggestions for location, and time of the proposal, as well asking what angles I preferred, and what type of shots he would be willing to get during sunset. I really appreciated his honesty about how the photos would turn out shooting into the light, and other technical aspects which I had not considered. Once we developed a plan for the shoot, he arrived on time, and met with a friend of mine to coordinate some of the last minute details. I hired Christian for one hour, and when he quoted a price, I was a bit shocked. However, I cross checked his price with hourly rates for wedding and event photographers, and his price was right on par with the others. He ended up spending more than an hour with us taking “secret” pictures of the proposal, and then staged pictures in various locations around Shipwreck Beach. When he sent us the finished product both my fiancé and I were blown away with his work. He is without a doubt worth the money, and with his personality and patience, I can hardly see a way that any customer would be unhappy with his services. He truly represented the Aloha spirt during my proposal, and if he lived on the mainland I would hire him for my wedding. Thanks for everything!!!!”

Plainly put, “Christian is beyond amazing.” He is professional, courteous, friendly, creative, and incredibly talented (etc. etc. etc.). “Kahahawai Photography No Ka ‘Oi (The BEST)

DISCLAIMER: I am not your typical bride, I never had big dreams and visions of some elaborate extraordinary day with the giant wedding party, 5 star dinning, spectacular flowers and a symphony orchestra. I also hate taking pictures.

But there was a couple of things that I knew I would not compromise on was getting married on Kaua’i, the island that I grew up on and still consider home and making sure I had photos to one day show my children. (My parents have one picture of their wedding and I always wished to see more) So I was beyond grateful and happy to find Christian with Kahahawai Photography, a Kaua’i based business. #alwayssupportlocal

From the get go Christian was very prompt and timely in answering questions and giving me wedding package options. I also saw his website and he has a portfolio that spands many kinds of photography from birds to brides! I knew if he could make a plant look amazing, I knew he could do the same for my wedding.

The day of the wedding he was on time and was like a ninja in the background. He was so quiet and stealth that he did not distract me or the ceremony but was able to capture such great images with unique compositions. But most of all he made everyone feel super comfortable. He also took family photos, bride and groom pics and some candids.

We got married on Friday the 13th and thought it would be funny to take pictures with props- mask and machete. Christian totally supported our crazy idea and made it come to life beautifully. Some my fave pics are with those funny props juxtaposed against a beautiful beach and sky background.

All in all he was very professional and super easy to work with. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to capture our special day.

“We struck gold!!! Being that my husband and I eloped last minute, we hired Christian on a whim a week before we arrived in Hawaii! Not knowing his work, or hearing/reading reviews, we hired him with fingers crossed! We had a tiny ceremony at Tunnels Beach in the morning. Christian met us there on time with his also amazing and delightful assistant Jen! After meeting the both of them, I was put at ease. We instantly felt comfortable and loved the both of them! He is polite, professional, and so pleasant! During the ceremony it was if he wasn’t even there taking photos. He was discrete and respectful of our space. Amazingly, he captured us so intimately that you could even see my tears! I couldn’t believe how detailed his photos were, being that it felt like he wasn’t even there! After the ceremony we took photos on the beach. He was full of great ideas and gave great direction. He made it fun! He was even open to our ideas too. He took his time and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. We never felt rushed. A few days after our wedding, we got an email with a few photo proof samples. I burst into tears of joy! I couldn’t believe our photos were so beautiful! He captured everything so perfectly and blew away my expectations! Our hallway at home is full of the photos on display. We are going to cherish these photos forever. We plan on visiting the island every year for our anniversary. We are definitly hiring Christian for yearly family photo shoots on our visits. Hi this is Mitchell/Leianah. We just wanted too say that we saw Christian’s work online and we instantly loved it!!! We gave him a call and asked him if he would do our wedding photo’s and he said yes!!! So we talked about everything we wanted and he was so… passionate too help us with exactly what we wanted. The day off our wedding he was totally on time and was taking pictures from every angle off our wedding and even went out off his way to catch everything!!! Couple days after he was already doing our editing on our wedding pictures. Then after that he called me up and said he mailed us our wedding CDs, Kahahawai Photography Rock!!! The day we got our CDs we went down to take a look and his work blu us away. The photos came out exactly how we pictured it in our minds and we instantly loved it.
